Please consider helping these tremendously valuable members of Vermont's apple grower community. The good folks from Jamaica who return every year to support many of Vermont's orchards are facing devastating loss and hardship back home. Let's show them we are a community who cares for one another.

As many followers of this page likely know, most of the apples in Vermont orchards are picked by absolutely incredible individuals from Jamaica. These members of our harvest crews are like family and work incredibly hard year in and year out to pick and pack the apples that put food on our tables. Without them, many orchards simply would not exist.

We're heartbroken at the devastation in their home country of Jamaica this week from Hurricane Melissa. Many orchards have put together fundraising campaigns in support of their workers, including Paul Mazza's Fruit and Vegetable Stand, Scott Farm Orchard, Stine Orchard, Hackett's Orchard (accepting dry goods and cash), and a combined campaign benefiting workers at Champlain Orchards, Green Mountain Orchards, Dutton Berry Farm, Farmstand & Greenhouse, Sunrise Orchards, Shelburne Orchards, and Southern Vermont Orchards. Please reach out to your local orchard and see if they are providing a way to support Jamaican workers and do what you can to help.

It's that time, friends - our final weekend of the 2025 season is here!

This is your last call for apples, cider, donuts and baked goods before we wrap things up for the year. We still have Empire and Cortland apples for picking, as well as some drops and utility apples (while they last). A handful of Macoun and Liberty available pre-picked at the stand, as well as pumpkins, syrup and a few jellies & maple products.

Baked goods and fresh cider today through the weekend. Cider donuts tomorrow and Sunday. Please call ahead for larger orders of anything (apples, cider, donuts) to be sure we have them on hand.

It looks like some lovely weather for one last hurrah. Stop by so we can thank you for all your wonderful support this year!

What a glorious Fall day! Blue sky, sunshine, foliage on display and a touch of chill in the air. Makes me want to curl up with a cup of coffee and a warm slice of apple pie.

Speaking of which - we have our annual APPLE PIE SALE this weekend! Its not too late to call and place an order for pickup Saturday or Sunday. We make extras but it's always a good idea to reserve one if you want to be sure we have one when you arrive.

And if you're in the mood for baking your own (or getting some applesauce in the freezer) we've got plenty of drops on the ground, as well as pre-picked and utility apples at the stand. Or you could even just go apple picking one more time. Just bring a warm layer!

Just a few weeks left of the season and if you're still craving fresh apples, now is the time to get pickin'!

We have all our varieties available at the stand, with a number of them still available for picking as well. Plenty of drops on the ground for bakers and applesauce makers. Some pre-picked utility apples available. We tend to sell through those quickly so give a call if you're looking for a larger quantity.

Amazing baked goods and handmade cider donuts on hand this weekend. Stop up for the sunshine, the view, the donuts, the apples - or all of the above!

Happy October, friends!

Popping in with some good news - it's time for our annual apple pie sale! Call or stop by to order your apple pie (or pies!) for pick up next weekend, October 11th & 12th. We always make a few extra, but if you want to be sure we have what you want, give us a call by Thursday the 9th. Multiple sizes as well as vegan and gluten free options available. Don't miss out!

The mist has lifted, the sun is out and we are stocking up for the weekend!

We’re just starting to pick Empire, for those who have been waiting. Still plenty of Mac, Cortland and Macoun on the trees. Lots of Honeycrisp at the stand -get ‘em while they last!

Yesterday’s rain was much needed and you could almost hear the trees sigh with relief. But the weekend weather looks great and the colors are setting in. It’s the perfect time of year for apple picking and we hope to see you!

Happy FriYAY!

Baked goods are officially ready for you. The case is full of all the flavors of fall - pumpkin rolls and scones, apple pie, cake and cookies, apple maple blondies and pecan maple ginger scones. If you're looking for a treat today (or tonight or tomorrow or Sunday) we've got you covered.

The weather looks beautiful for picking this weekend. We continue to have Macs, Cortlands and Macouns in good supply. Other varieties may start to show up this weekend. A modest amount of pears on hand at the stand as well. Keep an eye on our website for apple variety updates - we're checking them daily.

For all you Honeycrisp lovers out there, the wait is over - we're officially picking Honeycrisp starting this weekend!

It's a smaller crop than last year and some apples are still developing their color. However many are ready and we anticipate selling through them rather quickly. Don't wait!

We also have some delicious new additions to our bakery case - pumpkin roll, pumpkin scones and apple cake! All are in stock today, in addition to apple pies and apple maple blondies. Donuts available tomorrow and Sunday but I'm sure we can find something yummy to tide you over!

It’s opening day!

Perhaps not the ideal day for picking but we have pre-picked McIntosh at the stand if this drizzle has put you in the mood for baking.

Or if you’re just in the mood for eating, we’ve got you covered there too! In addition to some of our customer favorites, we have a yummy new addition in the bakery case - Maple sandwich cookies! They’re just perfect with coffee. Trust me. They’ve been thoroughly tested 😋

And, of course, we have donuts!

Join us for our opening weekend at the orchard this Sat/Sun from 10am-5pm!

We'll be picking primarily McIntosh to get the season kicked off and will have early cider, donuts, baked goods and a host of other fun things on hand.

The trees have even started dropping apples in case these cooler nights are putting you in the mood for baking. Drops may be a bit on the tart side but they sure make a great pie!

Hello friends and apple pickers!

We're happy to announce we'll be opening for apple picking season this coming Saturday, September 6th at 10am!

And in the meantime, if anyone out there is in need of crabapples for jelly or baking, we have lots. Feel free to call the orchard if you're interested in grabbing any before next weekend.

Apple season is coming into view and we’re busy getting ready to welcome you back to the orchard! We anticipate apples being ready in early September and will post soon about opening day.

In the meantime, we're looking for a few folks to help us out this season - picking apples, working at the farm stand and/or helping in the bakery kitchen.

Openings are part time and have very flexible hours. We are particularly interested in farm stand and bakery help on the weekends when we’re busiest. Applicants must be 16 or older. Perks include free apples and discounts on orchard-made products, as well as the opportunity to be part of one of the best Fall activities Vermont has to offer!
