Actor Daniel Radcliffe has shown longtime support for LGBTQ+ youth through The Trevor Project. In March 2012, the Harry Potter star issued a public statement for the group that emphasized allyship and compassion.
In that message, Radcliffe stated: “You don’t have to be gay to be a supporter. You just have to be a human.” His words highlighted that compassion and support do not require sharing the same identity. Over the years, he has continued his involvement through campaigns and conversations aimed at reducing stigma around mental health and acceptance for young people.
Radcliffe’s consistent advocacy demonstrates how public figures can promote kindness and understanding. His work with The Trevor Project continues to encourage fans to prioritize basic human dignity and support for those who need it most.
