Norman Ridge Farmstead

Norman Ridge Farmstead Norman Ridge Farmstead is a family farm located in New York’s Adirondack Mountains, overlooking Whiteface Mountain and the Saranac River Valley.

We raise 100% grass fed beef cattle and have a seasonal roadside stand with fresh produce and flowers. In 2014, Holli Edgley and Chris Neill purchased their 13-acre farmstead property, which is directly adjacent to Edgley Farms owned by Holli’s parents. Together, they are working with Ron and Beth to manage the farm and steward the property. The plan is to fence more pasture, graze more cattle, and offer delicious grass fed beef to the local community.

Meet: Pemberton (we’re still working on a nickname - send ideas in the comments 💡). We bought in a new yearling bull this season from the Wye breeding program at the University of Maryland. Their program breeds registered Angus animals that are adapted to live and flourish on grass. He’s settling in well to his new northern home and the boy crew has welcomed him to the pack without issue.

We’ve been working through the fall “cattle roundup” lately. They’re full days of running animals through the chutes, vaccinating, castrating, pregnancy checking, and overall herd health checks. It’s nice to put 👀 on them all closely. It’s a full team effort.
