Norman Ridge Farmstead

Norman Ridge Farmstead Norman Ridge Farmstead is a family farm located in New York’s Adirondack Mountains, overlooking Whiteface Mountain and the Saranac River Valley.

We raise 100% grass fed beef cattle and have a seasonal roadside stand with fresh produce and flowers. In 2014, Holli Edgley and Chris Neill purchased their 13-acre farmstead property, which is directly adjacent to Edgley Farms owned by Holli’s parents. Together, they are working with Ron and Beth to manage the farm and steward the property. The plan is to fence more pasture, graze more cattle, and offer delicious grass fed beef to the local community.

We’ve been working through the fall “cattle roundup” lately. They’re full days of running animals through the chutes, vaccinating, castrating, pregnancy checking, and overall herd health checks. It’s nice to put 👀 on them all closely. It’s a full team effort.

Last year’s steer calves are growing up fast! We have two groups of cattle grazing this time of year: 2024’s boy calves “the steers”, and the cow/calf/heifer group plus Bruno. Bruno was put in with the breeding herd around the end of July, aiming for an early May start to the 2026 calving season.
