Norman Ridge Farmstead Norman Ridge Farmstead is a family farm located in New York’s Adirondack Mountains, overlooking Whiteface Mountain and the Saranac River Valley.

We raise 100% grass fed beef cattle and have a seasonal roadside stand with fresh produce and flowers. In 2014, Holli Edgley and Chris Neill purchased their 13-acre farmstead property, which is directly adjacent to Edgley Farms owned by Holli’s parents. Together, they are working with Ron and Beth to manage the farm and steward the property. The plan is to fence more pasture, graze more cattle, and offer delicious grass fed beef to the local community.

It was a beautiful night for a walk out to say hi to the cattle in their new pasture. The calves from this year are getting so big! The crickets are chirping and the monarch butterflies are stretching their new wings to prepare for their long journey south.

The cattle are eating fresh grass now, but their winter food is being prepared/packaged for safe keeping.

Happy 4th of July! The sun is rising in the east, the birds are singing, the cattle are grazing, and we give thanks for another day. Hope you all have a happy and safe Independence Day!

We’ve welcomed 18 calves so far this season and this quick clip shows most of them! How many can you count? We anticipate there are 3 more calves to be born over the next days or weeks. The herd is growing!

Meet: Pemberton (we’re still working on a nickname - send ideas in the comments 💡). We bought in a new yearling bull this season from the Wye breeding program at the University of Maryland. Their program breeds registered Angus animals that are adapted to live and flourish on grass. He’s settling in well to his new northern home and the boy crew has welcomed him to the pack without issue.
