Soon they won’t be so little and their voices will be different and their stories won’t be the same and their days will be busier. These are precious moments just doing the normal daily chores. ❤️

Planes eye view showed us that someone was doing doughnuts in the arena 🤦‍♀️🤣 darn kids.

250 years. So young for a country, yet the accomplishments and progress made along the way are truly incredible. We are so grateful to live in the USA and for a nation that, for 250 years, has not been afraid to challenge old ideas and strive for something better. Happy 250!

We still had a lot more chores than these. The 8yr old moved the beef cattle to more pasture and gave chickens some food and water, we also had to filter milk and clean equipment after all this. Learning to slow down with the kids and try to enjoy these days. The heat has been hard on everyone so the break in heat in the morning is super enjoyable for everyone!

I need to be doing my devotions as soon as I get up in the morning so I can set myself up better before the kids wake up and our days get filled.

This is what we did on our second date and here we are 12 years later doing the same thing. He’s even better looking to me now. 😅 and yes, we take turns stacking hay. I don’t let him have all the fun.

I cook from scratch for most meals, but this is my first time making homemade pasta. It was a learning experience. I had them too thick for sure but still a good meal. Also, don’t mind my constant serious face 😆

These cattle are raised only on fresh pasture, dry or fermented hay ONLY! They have year round access to great minerals and salt which we have found to be so very important! These last 6 years we have found that investing in a better bull and having better genetics to pass down is almost the most important part to successfully grass feeding and finishing! They are thick and healthy and very happy! ❤️

“I’m too old for this.”
“We’re not doing this next year.”
“I promise, this is the last time.”
“Why are we doing this again?”
“We need to put A/C in that tractor.”
“How much is a canopy?”
