Gregory Family Farms

Gregory Family Farms We raise and finish the best beef and lamb you've ever tasted, purely on our pasture, on our farm. We'd love to have you become part of our farm's future.

We're a husband and wife farming team who are lucky enough to live a life providing food for our family and yours through traditional animal husbandry methods, rotational grazing, and GMO-free grains. We offer pastured beef, pork, and lamb as whole and half shares and offer several buying and delivery groups throughout Virginia.

So proud of my boy staying calm under pressure and nailing it in the ring during Q&A with the judge. He might not have won first in his class, but she did announce he had won best name in the show with his breeding gilt...The Notorious P.I.G. 😂 😂

It's been said you can't get a closer relationship to the source of your food than buying pastured beef or lamb from Gregory Family Farms; but we think you can. Starting with Spring 2026, we'll begin offering the Source of the Source of Your Beef - that is, our very pasture itself! Step into the shoes of your most delicious beef and enjoy our orchardgrass, bluegrass, and alfalfa greens by the cup, peck, or bushel. If you think you'd like to partake, you can enter offer APRILFOOLS at the link in our profile for a 99% discount on your first order!

*This is actually front yard grass. No pasture was harmed in the making of this post.

**One of us is actually a certified nutrient management planner and has his B.S. degree in crop & soil environmental sciences, though.

We are clipping the fields before spreading nutrients for spring pasture growth. Also, we are driving the big tractor independently now, and there is a great big smile on the front of this boy's face.

The wait is over! The first lambs of 2026 arrived this week, and it is a beautiful pandemonium in the barn right now. We'll be tagging and banding our first two sets of twins tomorrow morning, and we look forward to filling your feed with baby lambs these next few weeks.

In each of our pastures, there is a well worn path the cattle and sheep use to travel from one end to the other. We've never marked it or restricted them, but by their own volition they found the best means to traverse the hills and valleys until the land itself reflects years of habit.
And therein lies our New Years resolution. We've been farming and family-ing enough years to know what works (and what doesn't). Rather than a "new year, new us", our goal this year is to lean in to those habits that have served us well, to become a well worn path of the good habits of sustainable agriculture, organic gardening, and family work ethic. Let 2026 be the year of our greatest hits, played on repeat. We look forward to the path created by the repetitive habits of stewarding this land, and the privilege of sharing that with you all year long.
