We're a husband and wife farming team who are lucky enough to live a life providing food for our family and yours through traditional animal husbandry methods, rotational grazing, and GMO-free grains. We offer pastured beef, pork, and lamb as whole and half shares and offer several buying and delivery groups throughout Virginia.

If it's been sort of quiet over here on social media, it's been because we've spent the last month doing the contract/deposit/delivery logistic work for the fall beef season. Grateful again to sell out of beef shares by demand of returning, satisfied customers within the first few days of opening up availability. We've finally got every detail up on a poster we'll reference every week for the next 3 months, and we can turn our attention back to clipping each pasture from summer w**d growth immediately after its turn in the grazing rotation. In the meantime, cattle and sheep are out here living their best life. No filter, no edits.

Weekend meal of gnocchi tossed in olive oil infused with fresh rosemary from the garden and dressed with a simple meat sauce from our single cow ground beef, tomatoes and a red wine reduction, in a bowl by Dave Warfield, potter, neighbor, and friend. Oh, gracious - a rainy day at long last, a half inch that lets the pasture brighten, the cattle banded together so tightly in protection from a strange creature (hint: he is riding a bicycle), and a house that smells like roasting garlic and fresh rosemary. Just what we all needed.

If it can't rain, at least it can be overcast in the high 70's. Grateful for what we can get.
