Meadowburn Farm

Meadowburn Farm Meadowburn Farm is a picturesque 593-acre historic estate and farm located 55 miles outside of New York City.

Meadowburn is a magical setting for your wedding ceremony, reception, or private event. The historic gardens and working farm combine elegance with rustic charm. Meadowburn was once the country place of Helena Rutherfurd Ely (1858-1920), a pioneering figure in American horticulture at the turn of the century and founding member of the Garden Club of America. Surrounding the main residence at Meado

wburn, Ely built her gardens over the course of a forty-year period with the help of her loyal gardener, Albert Furman. Through trial and error she developed the practical horticultural knowledge that informed and inspired the publication of her three widely influential books on hardy gardening. Today, Ely's gardens are in the early stages of restoration and preservation, and in the process of opening to public visitation. Across the road from the gardens, the dairy farm is home to a beautiful herd of Jersey Cows, who produce sweet milk with which we make delicious aged cheese.
