With Bernie Stickell health scare this last year we decided it was time for a change for the good. A more relaxing stress free lifestyle is in order. We looked from Montana to North Carolina and we found a home that checked 99% of our wish boxes. We prayed and asked for lots of guidance and knew in our hearts that we still needed to be a reasonable drive distance to our family and friends and my clients. We will be closing on our home Friday March 1st and will be moving into our cottage on the river in Palatka Florida by Tuesday March 5th. Our home is always open to each one of you ❤️ please come for a relaxing visit of boating, fishing 🎣 and good food.
Bernie has great opportunities to advance with his job with O’Reillys and I will continue to travel to Vero Beach for my beloved house/pet sitting customers 🐾🦮🐈‍⬛. I will continue to travel back and forth to Ft Myers to care for Mom ❤️ on a monthly basis 2.
My continued support for our local farmers and ranchers is in my soul. I am working on featuring them on my Farm Girls Friday cooking show on YouTube and my page and get back to writing my cookbook once I get settled in. We plan on visiting for birthdays, life events, some holiday’s, monthly lunch dates with my son Sean and to see family and friends. Life is short get out there and live…
Love 💗

Shop for local honey. Support your local bee keepers.

This extraordinary painting is believed to be Epipaleolithic and is estimated to be around 8000 years old.

The scene depicts a human figure foraging honey: it's the earliest known depiction of bees and the oldest evidence of honey consumption by Homo sapiens.

It can be found at the Coves de l'Aranya, a group of caves in the municipality of Bicorp in València, Spain. The caves were used by prehistoric people who left rock art.

The Union of Corn and Bean
(Ahnishnahbe)
Long ago the Ahnishnahbe believed plants and animals had spirits that gave them the power of speech and of reasoning. The corn and bean story is such a story. Corn was a tall, slender, and very handsome plant. He stood in a choice section of the garden. Most of the time Corn was happy to look at his beautiful surroundings, like the sunrise and sunset. He loved to watch the animals as they scurried about their business. Sometimes he'd feel a little sad, although he didn't know why. One evening as he watched the sunset change from orange to red to purple, he noticed two butterflies fluttering around each other. He noticed how they brushed each other's wings as they flew by. Suddenly, Corn knew what brought his occasional sadness. He missed the closeness and companionship of a family. He sang the song of loneliness as the sun slipped below the horizon. As the morning sun awakened the world, Corn saw that the Squash Maiden had made her way towards him. She told him she had heard his song and came to offer her companionship. Corn immediately saw their differences and explained, "Megwetch. You are a beautiful plant, but we cannot grow together. You must wander all over the ground while I must stand in one place. Your broad leaves block the sun from the young ones beneath you. I grow tall and thin to share the sunlight." The slender Bean heard this and planted herself next to Corn. Her slender threadlike vines spread out as if to feel for something to lean on. She touched Corn and wrapped herself around the stalk. They grew tall together. They knew this was the union that was meant to be. They promised to be together forever. So that the promise of Corn and Bean will never be broken, the Ahnishnahbe always plant beans next to corn to this day.
