You can still find our eggs and pork at Marketplace at Fitch's Square in Wilmore. This week the berries are back for next couple weeks!

Ever considered curing your own ham? We have whole fresh hams for sale and there is plenty of time before Easter to cure your own to have ready for your Easter table.

Most of our fresh hams are in the 15 lb range, so will take 8-10 days for a full cure. We keep at least one ham in the display freezer, but have lots more in storage at Fitch's IGA. Feel free to contact us if you don't see what you need!

Why does it cost a little more to eat locally grown foods? Days like this! Across the Bluegrass, farmers are feeding in the snow. Feeding extra, so the animals under their care will thrive. Days like today add to the cost - both in feed and labor. Remember, when you think about the cost of that local food, 85% of farmers work another job. They farm because they love it, they believe in the value of their product, they believe in providing quality food and they believe in preserving the land for future generations.

It's better for the environment, the local economy, the animals and it's more nutritious.

So just maybe, the extra cost might be worth it.
