2026 FAIR & MARKET SALE ❤️🐄🐖
I cannot even put into words how grateful we are as a family and how many people we have to thank! This fair season has been filled with hard work, dedication, memories, and so much support from an amazing community.
First, Kennedy… ❤️
When we bought Kennedy’s show steer last fall from Lulich Show Stock, Ethan Lulich talked us into showing at the Badger Brawl in Madison. Mind you, we had absolutely no idea what was in store for us!
Kennedy did pretty well at that show and asked to do more jackpot shows, so we decided we would do a couple more. If it wasn’t for Ethan helping us get her steer show-ready and helping Andy learn how to fit, we wouldn’t be where we are today. We are beyond grateful for all the help Ethan gave us this year and look forward to another year!
The hard work and dedication it takes to raise a show steer is tremendous and very time-consuming. Whether it was the early 5 a.m. wake-up calls or the late nights walking, Kennedy put the time and effort in.
Entering the fair this week, she was prepared and ready to go, with determination in her mind.
Kennedy came out of her market show class with a Reserve Champion banner, earning her spot in the “Pen of Champions” tent for the rest of fair week.
She then went into the ring for showmanship, which is strictly judged on the exhibitor, and earned a 1st place ribbon! 🏆
To say Andy and I are proud of all the hard work Kennedy put into her steer this year is an understatement. We could not be more proud of her!
Now onto Sadie… ❤️🐖
Last fair, Sadie was begging her dad to let her show hogs at the next fair. She spent most of her time in the hog barn instead of helping her sister get ready in the beef barn. Dad finally caved and said, “Yes, you can show pigs!”
Once again, we had absolutely no idea what we were getting ourselves into, but Sadie embraced the opportunity and jumped right into showing hogs.
Sadie went into the show ring with confidence and determination to do well — and she did just that!
Sadie earned herself a spot in the “Pen of Champions” tent alongside her sister with a Reserve Champion hog. She also received Grand Champion Market Hog in her mid-weight class and won her class in showmanship! 🏆
We owe a BIG thank you to Showmanship with Mallory for all the help she gave Sadie this year — even in the waiting pens and in the ring when Sadie let her pig lay down before they entered!
Mallory, you are a true showman, and we wish you the very best of luck! Thank you for everything you did for Sadie.
With all the hard work Sadie put in, we are incredibly proud of her!
NOW ONTO THE MARKET SALE… ❤️
Both girls sold their animals in the market sale Wednesday night. They were two of the last ones to sell, and our bidders showed up and waited it out until the very end — and they did it yet again!
We are so fortunate to have such amazing bidders supporting our girls. We truly could not be more grateful!
Sadie walked out onto that auction platform with a huge smile on her face, and as the auction started, tears ran down her face because of how grateful she was.
Sadie sold her market hog, and a HUGE thank you goes to Rusty Roe / Sand Country Electric, Mike Edwards / MGE Company, Shawn Lewis, and Amber Nieman & Chris Niemann/ Nieman’s Towing & Recovery

Then it was Kennedy’s turn to go into the ring and sell her market steer. She, too, had tears in her eyes and a smile on her face as the bidding started.
And the bidding just kept going!
The crowd was cheering, and Kennedy sold her steer to Shane Michaela Ruesch at Ruesch Companies LLC.
Shane and Michaela — you two are absolutely amazing, and we cannot thank you enough for being a part of our family. Your generosity and support mean more to us than you know. ❤️
To ALL of our bidders on Wednesday night — THANK YOU!
Thank you for showing up, waiting until the very end, and helping the girls receive what they did for their market animals. Your appreciation, generosity, and support do not go unnoticed.
We truly cannot thank you enough!
And finally, to all of our family and friends — thank you for every bit of support you have given us and our girls throughout this entire journey.
It truly means so much to our family to have such amazing people in our kids’ lives. From helping, encouraging, cheering, teaching, and simply being there — we appreciate every single one of you more than words can say.
