Almost that time of the year for the Magic City Classic and my yearly visit to Sexton Seafood in Alabama. Time to fill up the cooler again.... See you guys real soon!!!!!!!!!!!😍😀😀😀😃🥰

A bit disappointed... I purchased 15 lbs. of beautiful shrimp and a sack of crawfish Saturday evening for our Easter Crawfish boil on Sunday. A young man there iced down the crawfish in my cooler, and I kept the lid and drain open and added a little ice over them later in the evening - unfortunately over 80% of the crawfish were dead when I went purge them the next morning. The shrimp and remaining crawfish were wonderful, but there were just too many dead ones for me. I've never had this happen before, and this isn't my first time keeping crawfish overnight. Wondering if anyone else had this issue? I ended up with a heaping 5 gallon bucket of dead crawfish and only around 5 pounds of live ones....Overall the feast was a success - the shrimp and sides saved the day!
