All of the hogs we are now selling come from Chad Thornburgh in Schoolcraft, Mi. He takes pride in raising healthy, happy hogs. They are primarily raised outside, with the option to be indoors/outdoors during the winter.

What are they fed? Hogs love to rut around and eat all sorts of natural things. Chad also offers non GMO corn. He uses natural bedding.

Pictured below are some delicious pork chops that came from his hogs.

After many years of raising livestock and serving our customers, Steve Oswalt is beginning to slow down and make plans for retirement. As our family farm moves into this next chapter, we are transitioning toward having little to no livestock of our own here on the farm.

But don’t worry - the farm store is staying! 🥩

We are happy to share that we are now purchasing our beef from a wonderful family farm located in Marcellus, Mi. Doug and Shellie Thornburgh are in business with their daughter Chelsie, and her husband Chad. Together they raise premium Black Angus cattle with the same high standards that have always been important to us. We feel very fortunate to have found a family we can trust to continue providing quality meat to our customers.

While our own livestock operation is winding down, we’re also happy to see the barns continue to have a purpose. Andy Foster, a relative by marriage, is renting the land and facilities and is purchasing our cows. Although things will look different around the farm, agriculture will continue to be a part of our legacy.

Our farm may be entering a new chapter, but our store and our commitment to our customers remain.

We are incredibly grateful for all of your support throughout the years. Thank you for allowing our family to be a part of your family’s table. We look forward to continuing to serve you! ♥️

We have one more customer that has backed out of a chicken order, however this chicken was from our April chicken delivery.

Because of this, we will do a 20% discount. First come first serve, they went really quick yesterday! The price listed includes the discount.
