With the season winding down, we took a ride through the Southern Tier of NY- through the rolling hills to witness the leaves turning… October is the best time of year!
Happy Fall Y’all! ❤️

Just checking to see if it still works ❤️

And October greets us with soft sprinkles today.

Some plants are quietly laying to rest, while others are still vibrant and strong. The season’s not over, just transitioning to a more peaceful space.

Welcome October!

This little Comma moth was chilling in the greenhouse, no doubt soaking in the last of the afternoons rays.

It also seemed very content to stay on my hand and pose. Their jagged wings are the perfect camouflage to blend in with leaves or bark- excellent strategy for this time of year!

Oh such a stinker! If she’s not burning off her energy out in the greenhouse, she’s making up for it in the house.

Her constant curiosity and drive could be perceived as mischief, but we prefer to think of it as intelligent determination. She’ll do just about anything to get to her sister’s food bowl 😂

Sunday Funday!
Just a quick video of some of the flowers we have in season (roses sold separately). A bright and colorful combo to brighten someone’s day. Enjoy!

Just some peonies for a couple weddings this week 😍

Our local florists are true artists, mixing colors so beautifully together to create individual masterpieces! I am in awe of their talent.

I’m looking forward to seeing their incredible arrangements while creating lovely memories for their clients.

Ha- the things we find in our field after a summer(or two!) of planting :)
Come to find out the land was used for wheat, rye, and alfalfa before becoming a residential area.
Some seeds can lay dormant for up to 100 years, only to spring to life with the right conditions (such as planting dahlia tubers!)
Maybe we’ll get enough to start a bread making business- you never know! 😍
