It's almost the end of August again🌻
We are trying to soak up the last of summer here on the farm. Our sunflowers are visible from the road and look beautiful in the sunset!

We are super excited to introduce a new item to Depp Family Farm! Whipped Beef Tallow and Lavender Face and Body moisturizer 🐮🪻

Beef tallow is rendered fat from a cow and is made by melting and purifying the fatty tissue. Now, I know what you are thinking, "You want me to put beef fat on my skin and call it a moisturizer?! 🤨". I understand the thought process, I thought the same thing, but stick with me!

Our whipped beef tallow moisturizer has 4 ingredients: 100% grass fed beef tallow, sweet almond oil, organic white beeswax and lavender essential oil. That's it!

🐮 Beef tallow acts as an occlusive agent that locks in moisture on your skin to help soften dry skin and support a damaged skin barrier. Tallow contains fatty acids that mimic your skin's own natural oils. Your skin will soak the benefits of this moisturizer right up! Tallow also contains fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K that pe*****te into your skin to target cellular repair, barrier strength and provide antioxidants while working alongside the natural fats from the tallow.

🤎 Sweet almond oil is a lightweight, nutrient rich oil that helps soothe and soften skin and locks in moisture, while not clogging pores.

🐝 Beeswax can be found in many natural skincare products and is used in our product to help give the whipped tallow a nice, fluffy texture and to help with shelf stability.

🪻Lavender essential oil offers antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that help soothe irritated skin while providing a relaxing scent.

❣️ Homemade in small batches with love.

These 4 ingredients melted and whipped together create the most luxurious feeling moisturizer. While it may initially feel a little bit heavy with application, you will notice your skin immediately knows what to do and will soak in the ingredients while leaving behind a velvety and non-greasy feel. This moisturizer can be used all over the body, including the face!

I have been using beef tallow in my skin care routine, and specifically this blend, for over a year now and can confidently say my skin has never felt and looked better! We hope you love it just as much as we do!

Garlic lovers rejoice! 🙌🧄

For a limited time, garlic heads are now available at the stand.

We grew German white garlic this year. This is a hard neck variety that grows well in the northern states with cooler climates. Hard neck garlic has one stiff stalk in the center (hence the name) with usually 4-8 large cloves surrounding the stalk. This variety has a strong, spicy flavor to it with some sweetness just on its own, when cooked that sweet flavor takes over more.

We have been using this garlic in a lot of our meals and can confirm they are delicious! We are very excited to share some extra we had with you 😄

Garlic quickly became one of our favorite crops to grow over this last year. They are a labor of love and there was lots of patience needed in growing them, but SO rewarding in the end!! This fall we will be planting many more cloves than we had last year and plan to branch out into different varieties of hard neck garlic. We are excited to take you along for the ride!

Farm stand addition loading....🛠️👷🪵

We were working hard today adding an addition onto the farm stand! This new section will hold the cooler for the eggs and will rest right into the stand. No lore reaching up and into the cooler 🙌 We are so excited to finish this project up and show you the end results too!

Thank you to everyone who stopped in today while we were working or beeped and waved as they were driving by. We love to see you guys and the support is so wonderful 🥰 Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
