What a sweet weekend in the Jaybird kitchen! From pumpkin spice coffee crumb cake and cinnamon swirl banana bread to freshly baked cookies, there was a whole lot of fall goodness happening around here. 🥹

There’s something so cozy about fall baking. The cinnamon, the brown sugar, the smell of fresh treats coming out of the oven… it’s one of my favorite parts of this season. 🥹

Soft, warmly spiced ginger cookies dipped in creamy white chocolate — cozy, a little unexpected, and one of those flavors that just feels like fall. 🍂

This one deserves a proper introduction. 🤎✨

Banana Nut Cake — but in true Jaybird fashion, I couldn’t leave well enough alone. 😂

Two layers of warmly spiced banana nut cake with a cinnamon brown sugar streusel baked right into each layer, finished with a light brown butter vanilla cream cheese frosting.

And let me tell you… that frosting may have just earned itself a permanent place in the Jaybird kitchen. 🤤

For a 60th birthday, I kept the design warm and elegant with a semi-naked finish, chopped pecans, an imperfect gilded edge, and simple gold candles.

Sometimes the best cakes are the ones where the flavor gets to be the star. 🤎
