I have NEW coffees from Ethiopia coming in for testing this week and we will be cupping this weekend. If you have a pourover, chemex, siphon, or Aeropress and want to help us decide which light roast we should carry reach out to us below! You can expect one to lean into tropical fruit flavors (Sidama Ayla Bombe) and the other to lean into blueberry/raspberry flavors (Guji). Both of these are grown organically!
We're also testing the newest crop of Guatemala La Morena Cubulco which should lean into graham cracker, honey, praline, and tea rose. We want to make sure this plays well with Nocturne before buying a full bag but honestly I'm excited about the flavors on this coffee as a single origin brew.
Speaking of Nocturne - we heard Orangefield Junior High was out of coffee this week so I'm roasting more coffee this weekend for y'all! Expect a bag of Nocturne tomorrow with the new crop of Brazil Cerrado blended in while y'all wait.
I'm slowly getting our website up and running over the next few weeks. I don't think I will be able to do many Farmer's Markets this season outside of Sargent Street Market. Unfortunately the workload at my day job(s) is a bit too cumbersome at the moment. Expect more content related posts and the podcast to get off the ground soon.
We're still hoping to get a Beaumont and Lumberton coffee rack off the ground but I'm still waiting on contact from the group we were really excited to work with. I'll let y'all know if anything happens with that but we may be back to looking for another location in Beaumont and Lumberton soon.
