There is a man who has been helping feed food insecure families the past 10 months during the pandemic 💝
He has helped tend to a garden which provides fresh fruit, vegetables 🥒🥬🍅🥑🥕🌽
I never knew until recently—
When I found out from a friend that this same man has just found out he has an illness,
And his time on Earth is limited 😔💔
The man is humble,
Never got any spotlight, attention, praise for the good deeds he did
And I only found out because a friend revealed to me
This week we will be sending little cheery happy surprises to bring sweetness to the family as they enjoy these precious days—
The dear man told his wife that he would like the garden to always continue...
So we dropped off dozens of seeds from DePaul's Urban Farm to go into his garden & bloom for years to come 💚

Never have so few worked so hard to give so many a port in this crazy storm-- an oasis of Happy. I just want to express my gratitude to the DePauls for being one of the few places we could go this past year to get a break from all the madness around us. So, as we look to Thanksgiving and the holidays, I am personally thankful for all of your extra efforts.
