Relaxed elegance, party of twenty.

Some evenings deserve a longer table — the kind where no one reaches for their phone, dinner arrives without anyone flagging a server, and the conversation is still going long after the wine is poured.

The room, the pacing, the details — hosting is the thing we do best.

Corporate dinners, birthdays, showers, or no occasion at all — our team plans it with you, down to the last detail. Get more information at

MayBar @ Joon 🥂

Persian flavors, reimagined behind the bar. Our Pistachio Martini — pistachio, amaretto, and Irish cream shaken silky — is the signature. The Tehrooni Negroni gives the classic a Tehran twist, the Tequila Anar is our Persian margarita with pomegranate, and the Fig Old Fashioned is the slow sipper you didn’t know you needed.

Not drinking? You’re covered. Doogh, the Persian classic. Pom Fizz. Seasonal sharbats in cucumber mint, sour cherry, and barberry all made with our house shrubs. Even 0.0% wines by the bottle.

And for the wine drinkers — a list that travels from Sancerre and Albariño to Ribera del Duero Tempranillo and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, or Joon’s own Parsa red blend and Darya white.

Two wines, blended with intention. Joon presents Darya (white) and Parsa (red) — custom blends crafted to complement the flavors of Persian food.

Born in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley at the Persian-owned CrossKeys Vineyards, both were made in close collaboration with acclaimed winemaker Andrew Bilenkij, who won the 2023 Virginia Governor’s Cup for Best Wine in Virginia. Every varietal was chosen with the Persian table in mind — from the herbs and saffron to the slow-cooked richness of home.

Darya — fresh, expressive, and food-driven. A blend of 85% Traminette and 15% Vidal, its bright aromatics and elegant acidity are built to sing alongside herb-forward dishes, saffron, and fresh sabzi.

Parsa — structured yet soulful. 54% Chambourcin, 45% Petit Verdot, and a whisper of Touriga (1%). Depth and restraint made to stand up to slow-cooked khoresh, grilled kababs, and the richness of the Persian table.

Joon is about the art of the table — celebrating Iranian heritage, Virginia craftsmanship, and a commitment to supporting local growers and Persian-owned businesses.

A reflection of place, heritage, and shared intention. To your health — be salamati (به سلامتی).

A permanent place at the table.

The Virginia House of Delegates has formally commended Joon. House Resolution 2113, introduced by Del. Atoosa Reaser (D–Loudoun), recognizes Joon as a 2026 RAMMYS finalist for Upscale Casual Restaurant of the Year and honors its contributions to Northern Virginia's dining scene.

Voted the Best Restaurant in Virginia by Washingtonian readers and featured on The New York Times' Top 50, Joon has hosted events that raised funds for a range of charities, including World Central Kitchen, the James Beard Foundation, and Anthony Bourdain's Roads & Kingdoms.

A resolution from the General Assembly affirms something larger: that Persian cuisine and culture have a permanent place at the table in the Commonwealth.

Some fathers want a tie. Yours wants a kabob and a good pour. 🔥🥃

This Father's Day weekend, Joon celebrates with Bourbon & Kabob — June 19–21 in Tysons Corner.

The centerpiece: the Kabir Kabob — minced Wagyu koobideh and saffron-marinated beef tenderloin barg, both fire-grilled to order, with crispy tahdig, grilled tomato, shish*to, and mast-o-musir. Only a limited number are hand-crafted each day.

Two specialty pours to go with it: 🥃 Agha Joon ("Dear Father / Sir") — our spiced take on the Boulevardier: rye, Capitoline white vermouth, ginger liqueur, orange bitters 🍹 Baba's Sweet Tea ("Baba" means Dad) — a highball in disguise: white vermouth, rye, club soda, lemon, date syrup
Each is poured with Bulleit Rye — or trade up to Persian Gold, our saffron-infused bourbon, for a richer, more aromatic glass.

Prefer the classics? Our full à la carte dinner menu is served all weekend. And for brunch, make it yours — unlimited plates, or order à la carte.

Tables and Kabir Kabobs are limited each day — reserve now.

Joon — RAMMYs finalist for Best Fine Casual Restaurant of the Year. 🏆

When we opened our doors in Tysons, we set out to do one thing: bring the warmth, the depth, and the soul of Persian hospitality to the DMV — and to do it on our own terms. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just saffron, fire, and the kind of cooking that takes generations to learn and a single bite to understand.

From Washingtonian naming us “Best Restaurant in Virginia,” to landing on the New York Times Top 50, to now standing as a RAMMYs finalist — every milestone has been a reflection of the people who pour themselves into this place every single night.

To our team — the cooks, the servers, the hosts, the hands behind every plate — this is yours. To our guests, the regulars who feel like family and the first-timers who’ll be back next week — thank you for trusting us with your tables, your celebrations, your Tuesday nights.

We’re honored to represent Persian cuisine on the DMV’s biggest stage. And we’re just getting started.

Come celebrate with us. Reservations at the link in bio.
