Joon — RAMMYs finalist for Best Fine Casual Restaurant of the Year. 🏆

When we opened our doors in Tysons, we set out to do one thing: bring the warmth, the depth, and the soul of Persian hospitality to the DMV — and to do it on our own terms. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just saffron, fire, and the kind of cooking that takes generations to learn and a single bite to understand.

From Washingtonian naming us “Best Restaurant in Virginia,” to landing on the New York Times Top 50, to now standing as a RAMMYs finalist — every milestone has been a reflection of the people who pour themselves into this place every single night.

To our team — the cooks, the servers, the hosts, the hands behind every plate — this is yours. To our guests, the regulars who feel like family and the first-timers who’ll be back next week — thank you for trusting us with your tables, your celebrations, your Tuesday nights.

We’re honored to represent Persian cuisine on the DMV’s biggest stage. And we’re just getting started.

Come celebrate with us. Reservations at the link in bio.

Virginia, stand up. 🇺🇸

Joon has officially been nominated for Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards — and we couldn’t have gotten here without you.

Every brunch, every supper club, every social hour, every “we’ll have what they’re having” moment at the next table — you built this with us.

For too long, the conversation about America’s best food scenes has skipped right over us. But anyone who has eaten their way through the DMV knows: Virginia is a foodie destination. Full stop. And we’re proud to call Tysons home.

Help us prove it. 🗳️ Vote for Joon — link in bio. It takes 30 seconds and means the world to us.
Merci, joonam. 🤍

What a night. 🕯️

Last week, we gathered around the table for a Solidarity Dinner for Iran — an evening of food, conversation, and community in support of the people of Iran.

We were honored to host journalist and author Jason Rezaian, whose voice and story made this evening unforgettable. A special thank you as well to Congresswoman — the first Iranian American Democrat in the U.S. House — for joining us and lending her support to this cause. Having both of you at our table meant the world.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners at for bringing this evening to life with us, and to every guest who filled our sold-out room — your support turned a dinner into a movement.

Every seat at the table helped raise vital funds for , supporting the health, education, and well-being of children in Iran.

To everyone who came, gave, listened, and broke bread with us — sepas.

One table. One night. For Iran’s families — and the children in the crossfire.

On the table: lamb & pistachio meatballs, kashk-e bademjan, whole roasted lamb shoulder with seven spice and sumac onions, branzino with pistachio and barberry, sour cherry rice with tahdig, sesame crème brûlée — a Persian feast curated by one of the defining voices of the cuisine in America.

100% of net proceeds benefit , a registered 501(c)(3) charity licensed by OFAC, the U.S. Treasury office that authorizes humanitarian aid to Iran.

Roads & Kingdoms launched in 2012 with Anthony Bourdain — who filmed an unforgettable Parts Unknown episode in Iran and always believed a good meal at the right table was worth gathering for. This dinner continues that tradition.
