Ewe & Me Farm

Ewe & Me Farm Ewe & Me Farm is a small, family run sheep project located in Maries County with just a few acres.

The farm was started by Danielle Eads and her daughter, Larissa Rollins, as a hands on learning experience through FFA and youth livestock programs.

Judy has decided she’s not a sheep. I’m convinced she’s either a goat, a mountain climber, or the Queen of the Hill.

She’s constantly on top of the round bale, even with my repeated warnings that one of these days she’s going to hurt herself and end up in the butcher. Apparently, she doesn’t listen.

Will Judy stop climbing her throne? Probably not. She’ll probably be back on top of it tomorrow, looking down on the rest of the flock like the royalty she believes she is.

I swear this sheep thinks she’s a goat. 👑🐑😂

🐑Goose Update🐑

Goose was seen by the vet on May 13 and spent 3 days on pain medication. Since then, he seems to have snapped out of whatever had him feeling under the weather!

He's diving right into his food and water and is acting like he feels much better. The only thing we've noticed is that when the rest of the crew is out playing, Goose tends to keep to himself and hang back a bit.

At this point, we're not sure if he's still recovering from whatever he had, being stubborn, or has simply decided to embrace his grumpy era. 😆 Either way, we're happy to see him feeling better!

This evening we had to make our first emergency vet call for Goose. He would not get up and when I did get him standing, his back legs were very stiff. I put hay in front of him so he could still eat and thankfully he did.

After some TLC from Shanks Mobile Veterinary Service, Goose is UP! 🐑💙

The next few days will be spent keeping a very close eye on him, but we are so thankful for a vet who came out and helped Goose tonight.

When you’re an hour and a half from home and your security cameras show THIS… 🤦🏽‍♀️🐑

I don’t know if any of y’all have ever had sheep before, but dang these things are SMART. Every time I think I’ve outsmarted them, they prove me wrong 😂

Here is our crew of babies. Pearl, Diamond, Maverick, and Goose. 🐑🤍

The girls are still being kept away from mama while Judy dries up. She had such a great milk supply for Diamond and Pearl, so it’s taking her a little longer than expected. Her bag is still pretty tight and full, but I’m hoping to see a big difference over the next couple of days so everyone can finally be back together again.

Then there’s Judy, our boss girl. 😂 She runs this place and pushes me out of the way every time I open the gate to graze. This girl definitely has attitude and rules the roost.

Day 5 of weaning over here at Ewe & Me Farm 🐑

Momma Judy is still baaing like a crazy lady 🤣 but the babies? They’re doing AMAZING.

They’re eating grain, munching hay, and totally content, which tells me we’re right on track 🙌

Now we’re just waiting on Judy’s milk to dry up so we can get everyone back together again. Thinking we’ve got another 2–5 days to go. At least I know we’re halfway there 💪

This too shall pass!!

(I feel like Judy is mean muggin me in this photo 🤪)

Today we added #5 to the crew! We’re giving him a day or two to settle into his new space. He’s our newest little guy and started weaning today.

That makes 4 lambs being weaned right now… and honestly, I’m not sure who’s baa-ing more, the babies or Judy 🤣

But hey… this too shall pass.

Everyone meet the final addition to the herd… Goose 💙

It’s going to be a loud night, let the baaing begin 🤣
