The farm is owned and operated by Ben & Molly Oberg, a husband and wife team who are passionate about rural life. Ben & Molly love growing fruits and veggies that are

memorable or unique and they enjoy connecting with you, their customer, at the market they attend, Urbana's Market at the Square in Urbana, Illinois.

Ben & Molly's Farm is a well established fruit and veggie farm. Our rural 25 acre farm has been growing and selling produce in the Champaign-Urbana area for over 30 years (formerly known as Meyer Produce) We're known for seasonal, delicious produce.

We believe in sustainable agriculture and incorporating it into our farming practices as much as we can. We utilize rotational planting, cover crops, mulching and other processes that holistically support the environment. There are 7 on-farm poly tunnels that extend our growing season. These are heated sustainably using wood boilers and cast off wood from local arborists. In 2019, we received state and federal incentives along with an agricultural grant to purchase a solar system that now supplies the entire farm with renewable, 'clean' electricity.

Ben & Molly's source of livable income comes from what the farm produces. Because they rely on the farm for income and strive to produce the highest quality of produce that they can, the utilization of conventional farming practices does come in to help them achieve these goals, but only when completely necessary.

Crisp like carrot but tastes like cabbage! Kohlrabi is a very versatile vegetable (give it a google) our favorite way to eat it is raw! Peel, chop into sticks and dip into your favorite spread - hummus and kohlrabi is 💯

Kohlrabi are coming in HOT this week, so if you want to eat seasonal and on a budget (one kohlrabi is only $2!) grab a kohlrabi from us this Saturday 7 AM to noon, rain or shine, our booth is in the southwest corner of the market

💐 FLOWERS 💐 out today, Saturday June 6! at The Camargo Farmstand! our regular flower lady (aka Mom/Grammy) is off for a few weeks- helping family with our brand spankin’ new nephew 👼🥳 But the flowers aren’t waiting to bloom until Grammy gets back from baby-land 🚼 so my sister and I picked ‘em and wrapped ‘em for you guys!! Flower availability will be random for the next few weeks 😊 stay tuned here for updates.

Did you know ➡️ a lot of small farms grow plants for home gardens in the spring to help bring in monies during their lean spring season? Yes! We do this and so do other small farms! 👏 avoid going to a big box store for plants and grab some from a small farm near you! We still have a good selection of garden seedlings for the farmers market this Saturday. Find us Urbana's Market at the Square this Saturday from 7 AM until noon, rain or shine. Our booth is in the southwest corner of the market. It’s not too late to plant your garden!
