I entered a few things at our county fair. I won 3 first place ribbons for my feed sack tote bag, peach jam and blackberry jelly. And 3 second place ribbons for my muscadine jelly, strawberry jam and pear and fig jam. That brought me a check for $7.50 as well. Our county fair pays you for your entries; there's no entry fee. I recommend anyone thinking about entering a project should. You have a whole year to do it. Check out the fair book for the rules and get started. Help support the fair by donating or becoming a sponsor as well. I'm hoping I will have more entries next year and get a bigger check, lol!
