The bee-keeping lesson we didn't know we needed: always check your mirrors 🫣

They were definitely bee-ing grumpy about being tumbled over!

Not the day he had planned, but John jumped straight into taking care of buzz-ness mode.

Strawberries pollinated by bees are

🐝 Bigger
🐝 Better shaped
🐝 With better shelf life

So we're glad this story ends with them buzzing along just fine. 🐝🍓

Some farm days just sign us up for adventure. What's that look like in your world? 👀

Spotlight:

🐮 Meet Buttercup 🐮

Buttercup was born on the farm, but she was itty bitty when she lost her mamma (our beautiful Oreo cow). A dear friend adopted her as a 🍼 baby and spoiled her rotten!

She loves head scratches, long walks on the wrong side of the fence, and above all things Peanutbutter!! I keep telling her I’m going to rename her 🥜🍫

Buttercup’s a big girl now (and I mean BIG, she’s a chunk) and needed more challenging fences to break through, so she is back home.

Now Buttercup hadn’t seen another cow in her life that she could remember. I so wish I had a picture of her strolling off the trailer into the pasture and coming face to face with one of our long horns. You might say she was ‘utterly’🐮amazed!

She’s taken a shine to cow-life and I’m happy to report there’s a bit of a romance brewing...🐂 💞

Now her guy needs a name. Given her, ahem, peanut butter obsession, we’ve narrowed it down to two. Help us choose 👇

🥜 ** Peanut or Jelly ** 😋

Pick wisely! Future Buttercup baby names are on the line! 🥜🍫🫙

Happy Labor Day to our DeLoach Farms Family! As usual, our Labor Day plans involve a good bit of, well, laboring 🚜. Farmer John always says he's never worked a day in his life, but this 🥵☀️ weather may be putting that to the test!

The countdown to 🍓strawberry season starts now. We're busy getting the fields ready to plant later this month, plus we're still putting up hay so all our 🐮🐴 friends have good food for the winter. We love sharing our farm with all of you. It makes the hard work worth it 💕

We hope your holiday is full of laughter and great memories. Have some BBQ for us, please!

Speaking of friends, we have a new friend on the farm. Any guesses?
