Part I - October is a good time to reflect and take one last look at the first year seedlings that I decided to keep this season. Space, energy and resources are limited on our little breeding farm so it’s important to not end the season with too many.

Digging up the unbloomed seedlings is often the first thing I do during the digging process. Seedlings that failed to thrive the first year due to environmental issues always put on a show the next year.
