Sometimes it takes a day when things go a little sideways to really appreciate the people around you. ❤️
Today was one of those days.
We woke up to no water this morning, and what could have been a pretty stressful day turned into another reminder of just how lucky we are to live where we do.
One neighbor happened to stop by, called another neighbor, who came over to help us figure out what he could, and then he called yet another neighbor who is coming out tomorrow to help us get to the bottom of it.
This is what community is supposed to be.
We haven't lived here very long, and there are still so many people we haven't even had the chance to meet yet, but the kindness and willingness to help one another in this little community has been pretty incredible.
We are so incredibly grateful to be a part of it. ❤️
And we can't wait for the day when we're the ones knocking on a neighbor's door saying, “What can we do to help?” instead of being the ones who need the help.
For now, we're still learning our way around, meeting our neighbors, and apparently learning that well pumps are a thing we need to know about. 😂
But we're here, we're grateful, and we're really happy to call this place home.
Thank you to the people who show up. We hope someday we can be those people for you, too. ❤️
