A beautiful day to be born! Calving season is in full swing and we are heading out to the savanna pastures to start the grazing season.

Baby goat season is here!

Most of our cows will be calving in the spring, but we had a young and virile bull calf last year apparently accomplish some impressive physical feats and got a couple large cows bred. Luckily the weather is mild and she's off to a great start!

This time of year I drive the truck to town and grab any discarded Christmas trees on the street. Christmas comes a bit late for the goats.

Happy Solstice! I sited our house specifically so that the sun would rise and set in a valley relative to the perspective of the house in order to have as much sun as possible in the dark season. It is glorious to experience the solstice sunrise in our new house!
