🤔🐓 ANY GUESSES WHAT WE GOT INTO TODAY AT DOODLE DOO FARMS?! 👀

Let’s see who can figure this one out! 😂 We’ve been busy getting our hands dirty, but we want to see who knows what’s happening around the farm! 🚜🐓

👇 Drop your best guess in the comments! Wrong answers are welcome, too… might make this even more entertaining! 🤣

What do you think we did today? ⬇️

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to speak at the Atlantic Shores Retirement Community’s “Ladies Luncheon” about our farm.

I sat with a group of lovely women and each had a story about growing up and spending time on a farm. Two spoke about their mom/grandmother getting a chicken from the yard for dinner, while another reminisced about running barefoot on a dirt road with her brother.

If I had to guess, 4 out of five women in that room of 50 people had memorial experiences on a farm. 80% had a personal connection with where their food comes from.

What would it look like if 80% of today’s families had that kind of connection with their food? Would their physical health improve? Would their communities be closer? Would they have an appreciation for simpler things?

I think so ♥️

🦈 Lane Shark putting in some work! 🌳🐄 We’re cleaning up the edges of the tree lines to keep them from slowly taking over the pasture. The trees are valuable—they provide much-needed shade and a great windbreak for the animals— not to be confused with breaking wind from the animals. 🤣😂

Most of the herd is headed the right way to the new grass all by themselves. 🙌🐄 Of course, there’s always at least one troublemaker who has to do things their own way. 😂 As they finish off the summer forage, I’ll be getting the fields planted with our winter forage so we can keep the herd grazing through the cooler months. 🌱🐄

Willie just did the math and realized the chickens eat better than he does. 😂🐈‍⬛🌾 One month of feed for the Doodle Doo Farms crew… and Willie has some serious questions about the budget! 🤣🐓
