FRESH EGG FAQs 🐓 🥚: Flower season 🌼 is upon us, but did you know that we raise laying hens and sell our eggs year round? Here are some of our Frequently Asked Question when it comes to our farm fresh eggs!

1) Where can we find Fulghum Manor Eggs? - You can purchase our eggs from the Meat Shack located at , our you can order directly from us.

2) What type of eggs do you sell? - We specialize in assorted chicken eggs ranging from medium to jumbo in size with colors ranging from white, blue, green, and several shades of brown.

3) Are your eggs washed or unwashed? - The majority of our eggs are unwashed when packaged, but we do package washed eggs upon request. All cartons are marked accordingly in the top right corner.

4) How old are your eggs when they are packaged? - All cartons include a hand written date in the top right corner. For unwashed eggs, this date is the date of the oldest egg in the carton. For washed eggs, the date marked is the date that the eggs were washed. Don’t forget, unwashed eggs can sit at room temperature for roughly a month before needing to be refrigerated. Washed and/or refrigerated eggs can last another month or longer.

5) Are your eggs “Organic”? - The short answer is no, but we do everything we can to ensure that our eggs are the best quality possible for the cost. In addition to pellet feed, we also give our laying hens an assortment of freshly grown herbs to promote the best health conditions as well as hand mixed scratch grains, fruits, and vegetables. We never use antibiotics, and allow our hens to forage under controlled conditions to ensure they have the best and safest life possible.

If you ever have questions or comments, we’d love to hear from you. Shoot us a message and we will let you know more about Fulghum Manor eggs!

OUR FLOWER SEASON IS OFFICIAL OPEN!!! After last fall, we were seriously uncertain if this spring would even happen. With the semi-drought conditions (good for wildflowers and bad for grass/weeds) our flower field is exploding with color and half the field isn’t even bloomed. We hosted our first photo session last night and we’re going to keep it going through the end of June. If you’re looking for a stunning location to take family photos, shoot us a DM ✉️ and we’ll send you all the details. We’re also expecting our first block of sunflowers to be ready in mid-late June, which makes an incredible back drop for those graduation and summer photos! 🌼 🌺 ☀️ 📸 🚜

Around here, no news is good news. We know our socials have been quiet lately, but things have been super busy behind the scenes getting ready for our summer season. Our laying hens have been loving the warmer and dry weather, and egg production has exceeded last year’s totals. If you’re looking for fresh eggs, send us a DM or check out and ask for Fulghum Manor eggs 🥚. Our wildflower field has pops of color everywhere and we should be fully ready for photo sessions in the next couple of weeks 🌼. We will also have a big announcement early next week for those interested in coop ready laying hens 😃 🐓 🐥. We hope you have a great weekend and keep an eye out for our announcement early next week!

If you’re local to the VB area, then you already know that the last 2-3 weeks have been absolutely brutal. We’ve had temps in the low teens with wind chills in the negatives, snow ❄️, a blizzard warning, and days on end that haven’t been above freezing 🥶. In an effort to help@our girls out as much as possible, we blizzard proofed the coop just in case. We added wind screens to keep blowing snow off our feeders and give a little added protection to our outdoor run. We also covered a vent holes that face north to keep as much wind out of the coop as possible. With a couple heat lamps we run first thing in the morning, all is ok. Over half of our girls continue to lay daily and the longer days and warmer temperatures will only help. Fingers crossed 🤞 this spring comes early 😁!

Hey Ya'll. We are long overdue for an update, so we wanted to get you all caught up on everything around the Manor. 2025 was full of learning moments. In some ways, it was one of our most successful years, while in other ways it was our most difficult. Our spring flower season was by far our best to date. We were one session away from matching the total number of sessions we did in all of 2024. For those of you who visited our little flower patch, THANK YOU so much for supporting us. Our spring brooding season was also the biggest yet hardest to date as we took on 51 chicks. Our spring layers sold out in a single day with another dozen people added to our wait list. Even though we lost a few, we were able to grow our flock by 25% while also placing 30 in loving homes including a few from the wait list. We are so appreciative of everyone who reached out and supported this part of our operation. Fast forward, the summer weather was not in our favor. With the early summer months being a little too dry and the later summer months being far too wet, the flower quality was just not up to our standard. After trying everything imaginable, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel our fall flower season. Even though we didn't get what we had hoped out of our flowers, we did end the year on a high note. With the additions to our laying flock, we sold 334 DOZEN eggs in 2025. We absolutely couldn't do it without our friends .

That said, we are geared up and ready for an even better year. We have already started our flower prep and will be announcing the layer breeds from that we plan to brood in the coming weeks. If you're looking for coop ready layers, fresh eggs, or the ideal spot for flower photos, please check us out!

It’s been a busy week in our flower field. After almost a month of preparation, we have finally planted our first block of sun flowers 🌻 for the fall 🍁 season. It’s only been a few days since we planted the first seeds and we already have a ton of sprouts. We should have our first blooms in roughly a month 😁!
