Dear friends and supporters,

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that we are ending our farm business. After too many conversations to count, this decision has been difficult to make, but we know it is the right choice. Ultimately, all the pieces just aren't quite aligning right now for us to keep this project moving forward.

It was an absolute honor to grow beautiful food and share it with so many people. To share so much joy and positivity every Saturday at the Farmers Market, to feel that love and support, the heart that so many have for regenerative food, the commitment from people who signed up for our CSA program.... we feel so lucky to have had these powerful experiences. We want to give you all just the biggest hug! Thank you so much.

Perhaps, in the future, we will come back to an endeavor similar to this one.

Week 20!!!!! We've made it to our final box of the season. The Viroqua farmers market will continue through the end of October but tomorrow will be the last one we are attending. We look forward to this celebratory day to mark the end of an amazing season. See you there!

Morning visit to the compost. Days after making this pile, the thermophilic microorganisms went to work to break down the materials. They are so abundant, and their constant activity (eating, excreting, reproducing, and dying) causes so much friction that heat is produced. As cool morning air meets the hot pile of 160 degrees F, we see a beautiful display of steam emerging out of the heap.

Week 16. Mmmm this week's box is filled with some seriously tasty kabocha squash! Celeriac with the tops on, ready for making a delicious broth. Buttery butterhead lettuce. Sleek versatile eggplant. Some spicy jalapeños! Poppin' poblanos. Shish*tos for searing and dipping in sauces. Cherry tomatoes for some bites of sweetness. Slicer tomato for drizzling with olive oil, and topping with salt. Thyme to makes your meals sing. And one nice looking nappa for fermenting, or stirring in a stir-fry.

That's our interpretation, and what we do with these veggies anyways... the possibilities are endless!

Week 13 box sent out today with new goodies like brussel sprout tops, shish*to peppers, and oregano💚 also shared is napa cabbage, sweet corn, noodles beans, broccoli, tomatoes, jalapeño, and celery.

Pictured we have echinacea, some gorgeous GinFiz tomatoes and leeks, the cherry tomato wall with cabbage and basil, and the first of our winter squash harvested and curing in the greenhouse... it's Sept 1 everyone!

Whew! What a hot week. We made it to Friday, bringing together box 12 of the season. We've got lots of goodies in the box this week.. like noodle beans! They've got a fun, nutty flavor that is so good in a stir-fry. Sweet corn is sweet 😋. Those tomatoes, fennel, thyme, onion, and basil are just asking you to make a saucy sauce. We've also got beets, kale, a jalapeño, and a beautiful broccoli to enjoy this week
