When it comes to the meat you feed your family, knowing where it comes from matters ‼️

At Driftless Provisions, we proudly source American grass-fed beef, raised right here on American soil and free of antibiotics. We believe you should be able to trust the people behind your food and know exactly where it comes from.

Recent changes to U.S. beef import policy is now allowing hundreds of millions of imported beef to enter our food supply. All the while, mandatory country-of-origin labeling requirements for beef and pork have not been in place since 2016, making knowing your source even more important.  

We believe good food starts with knowing the land, the farmers, and the people who bring it to your table.

That’s why we stand behind every package of Driftless Provisions: American-raised, grass-fed, free of antibiotics and as always, sourced with intention.

So…. you know the drill. Know your farmer, know your source, know your food! 🍕🥓🌭

By now you likely know we source humanely raised pork and may have seen tidbits about it being Berkshire pork but we’ve never really shared WHY Berkshire!

Berkshire pork is known for its rich color, beautiful marbling, tenderness, and deep, savory flavor. The marbling in meat matters, especially in salami, where quality fat and meat are essential to creating the texture and flavor we’re after (and that you know & love!).

We believe the animals, farmers, and ingredients behind every product matter. And that’s why we exclusively use 100% heirloom Berkshire pork from a cooperative of farmers in the midwest.

Simply put: we could use ordinary pork. But we don’t believe in settling for ordinary.

From our slow crafted salami to our smoked and fresh meats, it all starts with a foundation of better pork. 🐖

From solely hand wrapped salami to our current 4.5oz pouches, pre-sliced, summer sausage, beef sticks, pepperoni, a variety of fresh/frozen… so fun to watch the evolution unfold!
