Woot! Woot! Co-op community, we did it again!

Three cheers for another outstanding Give Where You Live (GWYL) donation in September! Through register round-ups, cash collection boxes and the co-op's contribution of 1% of sales on the third Wednesday of the month, we raised $4,496.89 for RedLou Library!

The mission of RedLou Inc. is to provide a trusted, reliable and connected mobile library service to individuals in Vernon County, Wisconsin, by delivering library materials and providing literary experiences to underserved individuals of all ages and abilities.

Give Where You Live is Viroqua Food Co-op's owner- and shopper-powered giving program. In FY26, the co-op donated $50,716 to local schools and non-profits through GWYL. Co-op owners can nominate organizations to the ballot for the 2027 lineup through October at virqouafood.coop/gwyl

💚💚Co-op owners! Nominate your favorite local schools and non-profits for the 2027 Give Where You Live ballot! 💚💚

Give Where You Live (GWYL) is Viroqua Food Co-op's owner- and shopper-powered giving program. Each October, co-op owners nominate the organizations they would like to see on the ballot. From November 9th to November 22nd, this year, co-op owners can vote. The 11 organizations with the most votes are next year's GWYL recipients.

Last year, through register round-ups, cash collections and the co-op's 1% Wednesday contribution, the co-op donated $50,716 to support local schools and non-profits! Thank you for your generous participation - together we make a difference in the community!

🎉Co-op community, as Jan Rasikas, General Manager, finishes her last week at the Viroqua Food Co+op, join us in wishing her a happy retirement! 🎉

For nearly three decades, Jan has provided the co-op with strong, steady and thoughtful leadership, a passion for the cooperative business model, and care for the community she lives in and serves.

It's Indigenous Peoples' Day - a day to reflect, honor, and celebrate the ongoing contributions of Indigenous peoples.

We acknowledge that the co-op and its local food shed are on the traditional lands of the Ho-Chunk people.
