After days of studying George of Swiftbrook, and wondering, for years, why Favour of Wye was so similar to him, I finally saw the line connecting them.
Funny how inheritance skips thru time and something can remain invisible until, one day, it's obvious.

Sharing this 2020 post because its an example of a recent Rito 707 based program that used George of Swiftbrook. The bull pictured was Lot 1 in their sale. The catalog is in the comments. Springlake Angus dispersed in 2024.

Old video of SVR bulls on pasture in the Sandhills. Spring Valley Ranch was a sort of Angus Camelot that ended before the concept, philosophy and genetic program had time to truly expand and flourish in place.
SVR purchased a dozen or more cows from Cotton Angus as seed stock. Some of their offspring have returned home to Volga; others are scattered across the country. The enduring ideology of reaching back into the pre-1980's Angus gene pool to restore reproductive efficiency to the Angus breed is a tradition among Wye based breeders and Cotton Angus continues to do our best to carry on carrying on.
