Good morning everyone!

First off we hope you all had happy holidays and are off to a great start to the new year! It’s been awhile since you’ve heard from us so we want to clear the air on what’s going on with the farm.

2025 was not kind to us. The drought situation committing us to our jobs as firefighters, insurance issues, labor shortages, etc. But we’ve learned a lot and are moving forward!

We are changing ways we grow, replanting underperforming varieties, all with one goal in mind. To continue to grow the highest quality blueberries for everyone!

With that said, because close to half of our acreage is being re planted, and other planned renovations, we will not be opening for U-Pick in 2026. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we navigate these challenges and are looking forward to serving you again in the future!

04/17/2025 UPDATE

Unfortunately for the farm, my duty as a wildland firefighter comes first. The current drought situation in central Florida and the uptick in wildfires has forced us to loose time and focus here.

Our top priorities are high quality customer service and our ability to provide a high quality product. We cannot meet those goals at this point in time and because of this, we have made the hard decision to close the farm for the season. 

We apologize for inconvenience this may have caused and know that we will have the ability to work around situations like this moving forward in the coming seasons.

Planting the next generation for all you Harry Potter enthusiasts. “Albus” has one of, if not the highest flavor score. Better than “Kestrel” without the low detachment force that has plagued us. It also boasts no disease susceptibility which gives you all more of those high quality blueberries!!

Consolidating and preparing hives for spring splits. Hopefully the last round of feeding as well! As temperatures start to drop, it’s important to remove extra space in the hives. This makes it easier for the colonies to keep the hive warm and also help control pests such as hive beetles and wax moths.
