The Farmstead At Citico Creek We raise Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Kune Kune, and Multipe breeds of chickens.

We are a small farm in the Cherokee National Forest working towards self sufficiency through regenerative farming of pasture raised poultry, pork, and farm fresh eggs and chicks.

It is with the heaviest heart that we are looking for a pet only home for Skeeter and her baby boy. Skeeter is a WONDERFUL mama, but she doesn’t ever need to be bred again for her own safety. Skeeter only ever has one LARGE baby that is very difficult to deliver, requires hands on presence to get safely into the world. Thankfully her 2 kidding have been head first, but if that should change if there were a next time, it could be catastrophic. For that reason and that reason only, we are looking for a forever pet home for skeeter and her baby (who she will love forever, but will need to be banded into a weather). Skeeter is very friendly, LOVES people almost as much as she loves food, which is a lot. She is an easy keeper. Has excellent parasite resistance, is super easy to handle, and has a HUGE personality. She’s a little bit mischievous and a little bit of a brat in all the best ways. Skeeter was our first goat EVER. We love her beyond measure. She was raised on a bottle in the house. Skeeter has been part of a prom-posal, has visited nursing homes, loves car rides, walks on a harness, she is truly a beloved pet. This is really hard, but it’s the best thing for Skeeter. Skeeter has horns, but baby boy will be disbudded. Skeeter is milkstand trained and has a respectable udder for a non-dairy bred goat, so there’s the added benefit of milking at least as long as this freshening allows if so desired, otherwise just let her self wean her baby and don’t worry about it if it’s not your thing.

Chloe and Legan’dairy blessed us with doe/buck twins Sunday evening ❤️. Skeeter is in the kidding stall now, she is last for spring kidding.

In true Chloe fashion, she spit them out like a pez dispenser and had them up and nursing in 15 minutes. I just cleared airways and let her handle the rest. She did awesome!
