Two Chardonnays. Same grape, same vintage. One tastes sharp and bright. The other feels like it coats the inside of your glass.

The difference isn't the fruit. It's where the fermentation happened.

Barrel-fermented Chardonnay rests on its spent yeast cells (called the lees) and picks up a creamy, mouth-filling weight that steel tanks just can't give it. No additive replicates it. It's a physical thing you can feel before you can describe it.

That's the secret behind the brioche notes and the Chablis-style texture in our Reserve Chardonnay. West Coast ripeness, barrel-built body, all grown here on the farm. 🍷
