Many of you may remember Farmstead Books from this year’s Homestead Conference, where Joe and Esther Richards shared their carefully curated collection of books and their passion for homesteading, learning, and family life.
On their way to a recent homesteading event, tragedy struck. The trailer carrying their entire bookstore inventory, booth equipment, and business materials caught fire and was completely destroyed. In a matter of moments, years of hard work and investment were lost.
Joe and Esther have always dreamed of building a family business that would involve their children, serve the homesteading community, and encourage others through the written word. While this loss is significant, we know that one of the greatest strengths of the homesteading community is its willingness to come alongside those in need.
If Joe and Esther’s work has blessed you, or if you’d simply like to help a hardworking family recover from an unexpected hardship, we invite you to consider supporting their GoFundMe. Every gift, large or small, will help them replace books, equipment, and begin rebuilding what was lost.
Thank you for helping carry one another’s burdens and for being the kind of community that turns setbacks into stories of hope.
