Stewart's Aronia Acres We grow aronia berries on naturally fertile soil with NO herbicides or pesticides. We produce healthy berries for sale on-site and in area stores.

Aronia have the highest known capacity of antioxidants of any temperate fruit and contain strong anticancer compounds. They are great in salad, stir fry/skillet dishes, chili, cereal, smoothies, and desserts.

Spring Update
*We are being blessed with rain!

*We are adding more pollinators this year. Bumble bees and Mason bees are scheduled to arrive this week.

*We have been busy planting black currants canes and are adding a new variety called Nicola.

*As always growing berries is an adventure!

Happy spring! It has been an unusual year. Standing water in field areas have made growing and upkeep challenging. We do look forward to a successful harvest. We include aronia in our daily diet so continue to enjoy good health. Stay well!

Gearing up for aronia harvest beginning Sept 9, 2019.
It's been a challenging year with lots of moisture and a late growing season.
Looking forward to healthy purple hands & great berries. 🙂

Happy Spring!!!!! Winter here on the prairie was long & wet. Rain has been plentiful so far.

The haskap are flowering, the black currants have been pruned & we look forward to dry fields and an abundant harvest.

Harvest time is approaching so we are busy preparing for the adventure. Our weather has been hot and dry so we've been watering bushes. We look forward to the tasty healthy berries we love.

Tour of our aronia, black currant & haskaps on Saturday, June 24, 2017 starting at 10 a.m. CST. Wearing walking shoes and bring an umbrella to keep off the sun or rain. We will share our experience growing berries. Please register with SD Specialty Producers .

The SD Specialty Producer Association tour begins at 10 a.m. on June 24 at Stewart's Aronia Acres. Please register with SDSPA so we can plan for food and snacks. Join us as we walk through our berry plantation (about 3/4 of a mile). Walking shoes and sunscreen will be assets!!
