Surprise! 🍓 We thought the berries wouldn't ripen fast enough to open for upick this year, but they have. We have more berries than we can pick, so we are opening for upick strawberries tomorrow morning from 8 to noon. If you want to make sure you have a certain amount of picking space, please reserve your row sections on our website. $5.75 lb upick. We might have some berries picked ahead. You can also text Lana at 509-869-1419 to order a flat for Monday deliveries.
All our strawberries are organically grown. All good stuff. 😃
Enjoy the fun. Bring the kids and family to help pick. We have picking buckets and some boxes.

Strawberries have been on for about a week now. Our season came on 2 weeks earlier than normal! We will likely have NO upick this year since different sections of the field are ripening at different times, we have enough picking help, and not enough ripe berries at once to open for upick. We will let our newsletter list know if we do happen to open for a day of upick.
There ARE strawberries that will be available for our Thursday deliveries! Yum!!!! 🍓 You can order at dixieacresfarm.com by Wednesday midnight for Thursday afternoon deliveries.

Delivering farm fresh, naturally grown produce to Walla Walla, College Place, and Dixie, Washington.

Strawberries are blooming strong this week. Oh the memories of strawberries...planting that first crop as a family, happy exclamation of a child, "look Mommy, I found a big one," seeing blue buckets of beautiful berries, and treasuring the true taste of an organically grown strawberry. Hmmm! Yum! We should be having ripe strawberries the first week of June.

What's on your plate? It's always a joy to see our produce and microgreens at local restaurants, especially when it is so artistically arranged. Thank you Abeja Winery and Inn for sharing these tasty looking photos.

Farm highlights this week...trays in the greenhouse sprouting, tomatoes transplanted to bigger pots, pear apples trees in gorgeous bloom, and the strawberry plants have woken up and greeting us with happy green leaves. Microgreen trays seeded as usually. Oh, and we got the irrigation turned on for the first time on the fields. Yippee! It's always a relief to see it all running well at the start of the season.
