GRATEFUL GRAVEL is a concoction from the minds of cycling enthusiast Dead Heads in the Mad River Valley that blends the
worlds of endurance sports and music festivals into one event. Two entertainment endeavors that collide to move you
brightly. Grateful Gravel provides a challenging cycling event featuring some of Vermont’s most picturesque
landscapes and gravel roads that segues into a face melting gathering of community and friends to enjoy the song
catalog of Hunter, Garcia, and the rest of the Grateful Dead.

The day begins with a 21, 46, or 63 mile gravel ride that makes your legs scream louder than Donna Jean during a mid-
70’s Playing in the Band. And new for 2026, we’ve added guided mountain bike rides feature the debut of our newest
trail! An epic after party at Cousins Brewing starts about 2:30 pm with music, food, beverages and more.

All riders can refuel after the ride with a small meal provided by Silk Road and a beer compliments of Cousins Brewing.
Additional food and beverage will be available for purchase.

Bring your friends and family – everyone is welcome! For non-riders, music and party admission for those 12 and over is
$15 in advance, $20 day of. Concert admission is included with ride registration. Want to camp out? You can book two
nights in the Cousins Brewing meadow – see Shakedown street below.

It is with such a frickin heavy heart that I am posting this.
We will be hosting our Tribute to Tim O'Donnell, to benefit his daughter Lillyanna, this Friday July 10th.
Doors open at 6, music at 8.
Al's Pals will anchor the night, with special guests Russ Lawton,
Seth Yacovone, Cotter Ellis, Jay Burwick, and many many more. If you are interested in joining the band, please contact [email protected]
