To make it easy to spot the areas where ripe berries are in the patch, we have put up white stakes with green flags indicating berry picking spots!

We are not finished yet, we still have berries!

This morning we checked the status and found multiple bushes in the back still sporting easy to pick berries. (See video)

Good August 1st from the farm!
As the blueberry season winds down, I want to express our gratitude to those of you who braved all kinds of outdoor challenges to take place in a ritual as old as humankind, the gathering of your own food. It is deeply satisfying to pick, eat and store food for yourselves. Thank you.

While we still have berries at the patch, this last week saw the abundance dwindle to a smattering of bushes with berries. While some later berries continue to ripen, we are past the stage of easily picking a flat. So if you want to pick a pint or two or three, we have this to offer. Chances are we will be closing soon, so come and gather that last bit of summer sunshine & rain, manifested in the scarcity of natures foods that are blue, and bid the season a hearty goodbye with promise to join us next summer for blueberry season!

Good morning from the patch! We still have some of the later berries ripening, mainly on the last half of the patch. And there are plenty of ripe berries even if we don't have the abundance of the past few weeks. As we wind down the season, come out for the late season berries as, one customer told me recently, the later berries are the sweetest! In the meantime, enjoy the photos from recent days.

Today will be a lovely day in the patch. We have a light north wind, the temperatures will stay in the 80’s, and we still have plenty of berries. Men (Hoffler twins & all) are welcome all day, the women will take over at 5. The rows that are full of berries and easy picking on the last few rows in the patch, and if you walk toward the back end of those rows you will find a treasure of berries.
