Yes, you can probably find cheaper and thats ok. I’m not mad if you buy meat elsewhere including the grocery store. After all, a farmer or rancher somewhere raised that beef too!

BUT…

If knowing where your meat comes from is important to you…

I’m already dreading it 😭

Commander has taught Isaac so much the last two years and they killed it together this summer.

For the first time ever, we may actually see Isaac get upset over losing an animal. The bond these two have is pretty special!

For the freezer or a feeder calf to bring home? Huron County sells them online. If you buy one for processing you must have a butcher lined up so plan ahead.

Isaac and Lucas will be selling some calves in the back to the farm auction!

Have you heard the term double crop?

These are “double crop” soybeans when they started emerging from the wheat stubble.

We use the term double crop because it’s just that. Two crops in one year.

Most commonly you’ll see this with wheat and soybeans in our area. The beans don’t have near the growing season left because they get planted later. They generally won’t yield as good, but it’s actually good for the ground to have a growing plant in it AND we need every penny right now. So, you might see alot of green wheat fields when you drive by!
