Kim's Custom Cakes My philosophy is everyone's celebration should be special, why ruin it with a bad cake! The cakes were fun, colorful, and shapely.

Time is the most precious gift because we never get it back once it is gone, so why not show someone how special they are to you by having a custom cake created. All throughout my childhood I would always have the greatest celebration cakes made from my grandmothers. The creativity was far from a basic screened on image. Into my adulthood a very close friend Peggy Hunt began to make all of our cel

ebration cakes, including our wedding cake. Peggy relocated to southern Missouri. Soon after that dim day, I ordered a cake from a local bakery that I discovered something had been lost in the creation of cakes. I was so disappointed after I ordered my daughter’s 1st birthday cake from a bakery. The joy I had experienced in my childhood parties was absent when I was handed nothing more than and overcharged screened on image of Dora the Explorer. Memories and photographs of my past lead me to a journey of discovering the arts of baking and decorating. I earned a BSE degree from Central Missouri State University, an MAT from Webster University and taught High School for approximately six years before entering the world of crumbs and frosting. I am now the proud owner of Kim’s Custom Cakes, a company that started on inspiration to keep a long standing tradition of quality cakes alive with in family history. My goal is that everyone has a special cake for their special day. We create works of art suited to celebrate the main focus of any party, the person or people being honored by the spotlight.
