🎄❤️ A LITTLE SOMETHING NEW TO THE FARM! ❤️🎄

We’re so excited to share one of our newest additions to Papaw’s Tree Farm! We recently purchased this beautiful old-fashioned wagon, and we can’t wait to give it a little Christmas magic. 🤍

This wagon will be a special spot for families to stop, take pictures, make memories, and enjoy the simple traditions that make this time of year so special. 📸

We’re working on making the farm a place where families can slow down, enjoy the season, and create memories they’ll look back on for years to come.

Stay tuned to see how we dress up our little wagon for the holidays. ❤️

With love and prayers,
Papaw’s Tree Farm 🌲

September 11, 2001 - We Remember. 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless heroes who ran toward danger while others were running away.

September 11th holds a very special place in our hearts at Papaw’s Tree Farm. While Papaw was not among the firefighters who responded that day, as a lifelong firefighter, the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who answered the call are deeply meaningful to him.

343 firefighters. 60 police officers. 8 EMTs/paramedics. Thousands of innocent lives. One day that changed us forever. We also remember the incredible search-and-rescue dogs who worked tirelessly alongside their handlers, searching through the rubble and bringing comfort and hope during some of the darkest days.

Their courage, loyalty, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication will never be forgotten.

Today, we honor the fallen, remember the heroes, and hold their families—and every person whose life was forever changed—in our hearts.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸🐾

🌲☀️ Just another day at Papaw’s Tree Farm! ☀️🌲

The trees are growing, the sun is shining, and Papaw has definitely been keeping busy!

This year has been all about taking care of the trees we already have — pulling the ones that didn’t make it, picking bagworms (SO. MANY. BAGWORMS. 😅), trimming trees, battling w**ds, and doing whatever it takes to keep this farm growing strong.

It may not always look like a lot from the outside, but there’s a LOT of work happening behind the scenes! 💪🏼🌲

5,000+ trees and growing… 🌱

We’re so excited to keep watching this little dream grow and, someday soon, welcome families to make their own Christmas memories right here. ❤️

Follow along — there’s plenty more growing around here! 🌲🎄

When Papaw’s Least Favorite Job Calls… 😂🌲

Nothing says “Christmas tree farmer” quite like being forced to pull w**ds!

He’ll plant thousands of trees, but ask him to pull a w**d and suddenly he’s got somewhere else to be. 🌱🤣

Papaw vs. the w**ds… round infinity ♾️

🌲 The sign is officially up! One more little step toward bringing Papaw’s Tree Farm to life. We’re getting closer! 🎄❤️

There are days when all the hard work feels especially worth it… and today was one of those days. ❤️

Papaw and Donna spent some time walking our very first section of Christmas trees, counting each one that will be ready for families to choose during our 2027 opening season.

The final count? 340 beautiful trees! 🌲

It’s amazing to think that these little trees we’ve cared for over the past several years will soon become the center of so many Christmas celebrations. From decorating with the kids to gathering around on Christmas morning, we’re honored that our trees will be part of those memories.

We’re also excited because there’s even more happening around the farm!

✨ Our road sign is on its way.
⚡ Electricity will be installed soon.
🎁 And we have one more exciting surprise that we can’t wait to share with you within the next month!

Thank you for following along as this dream continues to grow. Every like, comment, and share encourages us more than you know. We can’t wait to welcome you to Papaw’s Tree Farm in 2027!

With gratitude,
❤️ Papaw & Donna

This week we had the opportunity to attend the MACT & Indiana Christmas Tree Growers Association (CTGA) Summer Meeting, and it was an incredible experience!

We spent the day learning from experienced growers, touring beautiful tree farms, and connecting with others who share the same passion for growing quality Christmas trees and creating meaningful family traditions.

Every meeting like this helps us bring new ideas, knowledge, and inspiration back to Papaw’s Tree Farm as we continue preparing for our future opening. We’re so grateful for the friendships we’ve made and for the willingness of fellow growers to share their experience and expertise.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organize this year’s meeting and welcomed us. We left feeling encouraged and even more excited about what’s ahead for Papaw’s Tree Farm!

The countdown to opening continues, and we can’t wait to welcome your family to make Christmas memories with us in the years to come. 🎄❤️

Papaw has been working hard at the farm this week and it’s only Tuesday!

What is papaw doing?
Papaw is trimming all the leaders on our Canaan Christmas trees 🌲

Why is papaw trimming the leaders off the trees and what is a leader?

The leader is the very top shoot of the tree—the part that grows straight up each year. If it’s left alone, it can grow too long, making the tree look thin and uneven.

We trim the leaders for multiple reasons …
1. Creates the classic Christmas tree shape
2. Controls height growth 📈
3. Encourages dense branching
4. Improves strength 💪🏼

Papaws goal is to create & maintain beautiful trees for our future customers 💚
