UPDATE: The dog in the picture is Eric the Spokesdog and Mike's constant companion. He is NOT the "Found Item" I kept that part vague, because the item is distinctive and the owner knows they're missing it. But Eric (the dog) is safe and sound!

Mums Winter Squash Sweet Corn

Good morning from Eric the official spokesdog for Mike's Farm Market in Walkersville across from Firehall! Check out my fresh haircut from Zoom Zoom Groom of Frederick.

We are all stocked up this morning. Fresh sweet corn by early afternoon and olums and blackberries by evening. Then we'll be all full all weekend. Except I'm afraid for cantelopes. There's maybe a dozen left and then sadly they will be finished for this year. 😔

We have very full 9 inch pot mums. Very tightly budded, so weeks of color yet to come. Only 56 pots this weekend and they won't last long. Don't worry though, we'll have more!

We have a few boxes of canning tomatoes available and with some advanced notice can get you more, but they're coming to an end too.

Sweet Corn Water Melons Tomatoes oh my!

Good morning from Eric the official spokesdog for Mike's Farm Market in Walkersville across from Firehall.

We are well stocked for a Sunday and Monday and Tuesday for that matter. Plenty of your favorites! A little low on cantelopes and out of peaches until Wednesday.

PSA: It's that time of year when sweet corn may have a small worm at the tip of the ear. It's just the way things are. That little worm won't hurt anything and you can chop off the top and continue to enjoy the corn as you normally would. IF you strip back every ear to check and then put them back, you create this strange phenomenon whereby no one else will pick up that ear because it appears damaged. Then Mike and Eric have to eat all that discarded corn. Mike's only one guy and Eric's a very small dog. We can't eat it all! Please use good judgement!

We have spent all week picking our own and picking up from our local farmers and we are completely stocked up for the weekend. The sweet corn is particularly AMAZING!
