Verhaeghe Farms LLC is pleased to announce that an expanded selection of its premium meats is now available at the Roadstand - Cottage.

In preparation for the upcoming holiday weekend and grilling events, we have added the following items for customer convenience: Pork Chops, Pork Shoulder Steak, Pork Spare Ribs, Pork Shoulder Roast, Smoked Bacon, Sliced Smoked Ham, and Pork Hocks. These items are priced per pound, and the price is on the package.

We have also added another choice for brats - Butter & Garlic. We have actually tried them and found them to be pretty tasty; we boiled them for a bit and then put them on the grill.

We run our 24-hour stand on an honor system. We have cameras, and if you have questions, please push the outside doorbell. Please fill out an order form with each purchase so we can keep track of inventory. The order form and payment go into the money box by the long freezer on the wall. The freezer has labels attached to the walls indicating what meat is on each shelf. Remember, cash or check are the accepted payment methods.

What a blessed morning on the farm before 9 am, filled with purpose and new beginnings!

Loading butcher hogs during the golden morning sunrise is truly uplifting, especially knowing 4 new customers are about to experience the quality of our meat ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

As we enter the pen, we're greeted by the sweet sound of new baby pigs 🐷 🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷, a symphony of joy that brings music to our ears.

Of course, the butcher hogs 🐖🐖🐖🐖 had their own plans, and the Poland gilt 🐖with 11 precious new baby pigs was equally spirited. Yet, with determination and care, we loaded the butcher hogs onto the hydraulic pig trailer and safely relocated the gilt and her babies to a cozy crate in a warm building. But just as we thought we'd completed a task, one butcher hog decided to test our patience, breaking free from the trailer to take an unscheduled tour of the farm. Undeterred, we reloaded and transferred the hog to the trailer, sending it off to its next step with gratitude, before heading home; stopped and check on our cows and calves, where joy awaited in the form of a newborn calf, who, after a brief moment of freedom, received her tag and wormer.
