Summer break. Of course we love it – more quality time as a family, stellar Walla Walla weather, and all the grilling. However, work doesn’t slow down. One of the things I value most about running our ranch business is that I can flex work around family, and involve the kids in our business (they’re getting to be seriously good helpers). This summer though, one thing I committed to was making beef deliveries more enjoyable for the boys. We deliver beef 3+ days per week, and oftentimes that means hours of riding around in the car. Audiobooks are great and all, but when you have little boy energy, it gets tiring fast and you start relentlessly picking on your brother. So, we started this summer break strong by scheduling ourselves extra time during deliveries and committing to explore the places we deliver to.
Week one included:
👢Pendleton Underground Tour and playing at Pioneer Park after deliveries in Milton-Freewater, Adams and Pendleton
🛝 Kennewick Playground of Dreams after delivering in Pasco and Kennewick
🏊♂️ Waitsburg splashpad (and tacos from La Ramada) after deliveries in College Place, Walla Walla and Waitsburg
We offer free local delivery within an hour(ish) of Walla Walla, so if you have any suggestions for adventures we need to have this summer in that general area, please let me know!
