Henry Earl Estate Wines Located in the very heart of Downtown Walla Walla and the historic Kennedy building is our home. The children of Henry Shaw and Earl West would form a union.

They would bring together two deep rooted Washington State families and two powerful regions in Washington State, Red Mountain and Walla Walla. Dick Shaw, son of Henry and Pearl Shaw would become involved with many businesses and finally became an investor in a vineyard in Mattawa, Washington in 1981. Wendy West Shaw daughter of Earl and Ramona West would also try her hand at starting businesses f

inally forming the first ever custom wine grape harvesting business owned and operated by a woman. Together they continued to plant and grow their vineyards into over 3,000 acres in 6 AVA’s in Washington State. In 2013 they bought the Kennedy Building at 25 E. Main Street in Walla Walla and started making their own wine they named Henry Earl in honor of their fathers. They remodeled the building, proclaimed it the Henry Earl wine bar and are now serving their award winning wines, poured by their friendly, capable and knowledgeable staff led by the energized, ever patient, and talented tasting room manager Horte Coleman.
