Walla Walla winery producing very small quantities of three wines: Cabernet, Bordeaux Varietal Blend and Syrah.

There is a saying that, "one makes a thousand decisions from vine to bottle." At Corliss, we exercise the discipline to make the highest quality decisions at each stage. From sustainable, meticulous viticulture in our four Estate Vineyards, to individual berry sorting at harvest, to slow native yeast fermentations in micro-scale custom oak fermenters. We follow this with extended elevage of two and one half years in barrel, rigorous selection of the best lots for blending, and over two years of additional aging in bottle before the wines are finally labeled and available for enjoyment. Our winemaking is the result of teamwork and patience. Michael Corliss has, from the beginning, been at the center. He is engrossed in every detail and has guided our winemaking philosophy. He is our barometer of consistency for developing the Corliss style. Surrounding Michael is a talented staff of winemaking professionals including our on-site winemaking team of Andrew Trio and Griffin Frey (who bring experience and perspective from Napa, Europe, and Australia) as well as Philippe Melka, one of the world's most highly regarded winemaking consultants. Together, we strive to achieve the highest actualization of Michael's vision that this collection of talent enables. We are grateful for your interest, appreciation, and patronage of Corliss wines.

As we continue reflecting on the 2020 vintage of Corliss Red W**e and Cabernet Sauvignon, we take a moment to celebrate the excellent critical reception these w**es received.

2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, 99pts. “Very fresh and fragrant with a concentrated core of black currants and creme de cassis with herbal accents.” -Owen Bargreen,

2020 Corliss Red W**e, 94pts. “[It’s] medium to full body with a ripe, layered, concentrated mid-palate, and building tannins on the finish. It’s a slightly more broad, sexy effort compared to the Cabernet Sauvignon release, but all three 2020s from Corliss are beautiful w**es.” -Jeb Dunnuck,

Since releasing the 2020 vintage of Corliss Red W**e and Cabernet Sauvignon, we have been delighted to reconnect with our Registry members both near and far. We thank you for another joyous allocation. If you are not yet a member of our Registry and wish to acquire this vintage, we invite you to enroll from the link in our bio. We are currently holding back a small amount of this highly anticipated release for new members, though quantities are now extremely limited.

Each of these w**es is a true celebration of our Red Mountain Estate vineyards, which are characterized by their sandy loam soil, consistent sun exposure and proximity to the windy Yakima River. These aspects of the terroir yield smaller grapes with thicker skins. Red Mountain’s long, hot days encourage ripening, while its cool nights slow the process, extending hang time for optimal flavor development. These natural conditions produce Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes with deep concentration, softer tannins and balanced natural acidity.

That signature nuance of flavor and texture shines in our newest release of 2020 Corliss Red W**e and 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, which was released to the Registry in August.

The newest release of our 2020 Syrah is now available to select Registry Members in their online accounts. With only 297 cases made, the 2020 Syrah was crafted with meticulous care at every stage of the farming and w**emaking process. In the end, the hard work paid off. Silky yet rich, this w**e effortlessly balances savory spice notes with ultra-fresh blue fruits and florals, culminating in a finish of deep, earthy minerality.

Great w**e starts in the vineyard, and we farm with intention to nurture the vines. We compost our Red Mountain Estate vineyards with cow and chicken manure to add slow mineralizing nutrients and microflora back into the soil. By using only organic materials in our fungicide program and cultivating under vineyard rows, we reduce herbicide use. These decisions create resilient vines that thrive in their environment and defend themselves against pests. Every choice we make today ensures that each vintage authentically expresses the terroir that makes our w**es unique.

🍷 2019 Red W**e - 97pts
"A classic and timeless red blend that perfectly balances the power of Washington's hottest appellation with the elegance and finesse of varietal Cabernet Franc. Eucalyptus, dried desert sage, and smoky violet florals make way for dusty black fruits and wild blue mountain berries. Fantastically structured tannins create a w**e that melds hedonism and contemplation nearly to perfection."

🍷 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon - 97pts
"Red Mountain minerality is all over this beautifully intense Cabernet. Brilliant mineral tones of graphite lead the way, with pine bough notes, rose petals, and smoky red berry fruits leaping from the glass. Gorgeously integrated tannins frame cherries, with a core of dark chocolate and wild mint, finishing with streaks of graphite and crushed dried sage."

🍷 2019 Syrah - 94pts
"Lushly black-fruited Syrah, with aromatics of dried black figs, spicy violet tones, and dashes of white pepper. The crushed black stone minerality is a Red Mountain signature, framing ripe dark fruits like black cherry flesh, mocha powder, and hints of espresso bean. This Syrah is dark and brooding, with a complexity that captivates."
