Northwest Quarter Horse Association The Northwest Quarter Horse Association, Inc. (NWQHA) Has been an active quarter horse association since the mid-1940s.

The NWQHA is steeped in a long tradition of quarter horse ownership and the traditions of the real west~the Pacific Northwest. Having been founded by quarter horse owners/ breeders in Pendleton, Athena, Adams, Oregon, the association once encompassed a membership from the states of Oregon, Washington, Califorina, Nevada, and Idaho. e First Thursday of the month, September through June. These meeting rotate to various restaurants / conference rooms around our Oregon-Washington membership area. Emails are sent out to our membership of the time and location of our next monthly meeting. The NWQHA also tries to have group rides in the wide open spaces as weather, time permits and we ride the indoor arena at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds when winter weather doesn't permit outdoor riding.

A big Congrats to youth club member Emily Anderson and her horse Taz for their medallion win in Western Eq. at the Oregon State Fair. She was also the second highest score in the intermediate training level dressage and the second highest score in the intermediate English Eq. Great Job!

We would like to say Congrats to club member Charlene White and her horse Exclusive Iron on their Nov Am All Around win and Todd Hovrud on Exclusive Iron on their Res Open All Around win at the AQHA Region 1 Championships in Tacoma, WA.

We had a productive meeting last week and made some great changes for our 2013 show. We have added Ranch Horse Pleasure and Pleasure Driving for 2013. Watch for other changes in the up coming months. Suggestions for Hi-Points always welcome.

We are in the middle of making some changes to our show for 2013. If anyone has any constructive ideas we would like to hear them. This will be our 66th year and hope to have a huge turn out. As a club we love this show and couldn't do it without our great members and great volunteers. Thanks

We had to make some Judging changes for our show. Thurs/Fri. Judges are Laurel Walker-Denton, AZ and Bennie Sargent, KY. Sat/Sun. Judges are Morgan Lybbert, TX and Laurel Capurro-Watchel, NV.
