There have been alot of highlights and lows the past few weeks.

That’s right, lows.
As a women business owner in a highly male dominant arena I feel an odd duck out.
Even among some of my closet friends there is a loneliness because no one really knows.
Often the commits are quite hurtful while seemingly trying to be I guess positive or supportive.
I have been an odd duck out my whole life ( finding more fun in expanding my lawn mowing business than hanging out at the Mervyns department store scamming on guys ) or organizing car washes at the local grocery store so I could afford to go to cowboy camp as a kid ), so it only phases me briefly.
Than there is the imposter syndrome ( I hear that’s the term ).
How in the heck can I be running this business ?? I never went to business school or know how to use excel. Trust me the list goes on and on.
I do know how to dream and see connections and patterns. I see people and places. I see the hearts of people and even, what is missing.
I LOVE & VALUE … human connection that is not self serving. Not what’s in it for me. Pure, other centered kind of connection.
I have to say… that’s what my staff , husband and customers show me every day.

I forget the young ladies name but her grandma Norita is a strong encourager. She took this photo after a lovely evening at the farm.
There is something about the looks on our faces.
Two people , giving and receiving of the human presence of another.
I want to be present more to those around me!

🐴 WE WANT YOU TO COME WITH US THIS SUNDAY — OCTOBER 4! 🍂

We have wanted to attend this festival for years! We’ve been drooling over the long list of old-fashioned activities, handcrafted foods, and all the fun that comes with a day like this.

The folks putting it on are our friends from Deary, Idaho — the makers of the award-winning labneh cheese that we sell a ridiculous amount of in the farm store. It is definitely a favorite around here!

Jeff and I even had the pleasure of visiting their facility in Texas, where the recipe originated. They are truly good, kind people who make so many wonderful products that we’re proud to offer in our store.

So… want to come with us?

We’re inviting our farm friends and community to meet us in the Frog Hollow Farm parking lot this Sunday, October 4 at 7:30 AM, and caravan over together.

If you have an extra seat or two in your car, let everyone know in the comments — maybe you can give someone a ride who would love to come. 🙂

Our plan is to stop at Walla Walla Roastery on the way out of town for a warm drink and a treat, then hit the road with some good tunes playing and plenty of anticipation for all the fun ahead.

We were so excited about this little adventure that we figured we’d tell the whole township… just in case anyone else wanted to tag along!

Let’s go have some fun, make a day of it, and support some wonderful folks who are working hard to keep good old-fashioned fun alive. 🍂🐴
