Sunshine, fresh air, and happy animals made for a pretty perfect day! ☀️

The ducks discovered they are, in fact, ducks and spent the day loving their new pond life. 🦆

The goats all got outside and there were plenty of fainting spells as the babies explored all the new territory 🐐

Chestnut is losing his winter coat and with a little help, he's rocking a "lion cut". ✂️

Earth Day babies also got outside for the first time today! They officially have names now… Luna and Comet 🌙☄️

Today was the first time everyone met without divided pens, and it was so rewarding to watch them settle into the new pastures we’ve worked so hard on these past few weeks. 🚜

PS: Blue is still looking for a new pasture to graze. 🏠

I lost a lot of sleep waiting for these babies to arrive, but it was worth the wait! They are so cute and full of s***k! No names yet, we have some pondering to do!

💙 Meet Blue 💙

Blue is looking for a new herd to join. He was born right here on our farm, and we love him dearly, so finding him the perfect pet-only home is very important to us. We are hoping to find someone who will love and care for him just as much as we do.

Blue has produced some of our most beautiful babies, and we are so proud of the little legacy he has created here. He is typically a very sweet boy and not overly vocal. Like most bucks, he can become quite the “manly man” during rut season, but that is completely normal.

We truly want the very best home for this special boy 💙

It’s been a minute… but hello from Fish River Fainters! 👋🐐
We haven’t posted much lately, but we are still here and busier than ever! Here are a few updates since our last post:

🦄 Mya broke a horn and we had our first emergency vet visit. Dr. Blanchard was amazing and got her back into tip top shape… she just happens to be our beautiful little unicorn now!

🩼 I (Jess) broke my ankle bringing Mya out her meds… farm life keeps us humble! The kids did a great job taking over the barn chores and keeping all the animals fed and happy!

💙 We have decided this will be our last breeding year, and made the difficult decision to find the perfect home for our sweet boy Blue. We haven’t found the right fit yet, but we know someone out there will love him as much as we do.

🐐🐐🐐 We also decided to keep whatever babies we had this year and have a small herd… well Snowcone said “I got you” and surprised us with THREE beautiful babies, our first ever set of triplets! Welcome to the world Lupine, Juniper, and Goose 💕 They have definitely kept us on our toes!

🦆 We added 4 Blue Swedish ducks, a few assorted chicks 🐥, and 2 guinea hens.

That should have you all caught up! Mya is due any day now, so we are officially at max capacity in the barn! 🐐💕

Happy (almost) summer☀️ Spring was quiet here, we didn't have the kidding season we hoped for, but that's ok! 🐐 The goats are doing great and loving this beautiful weather.

Our chickens have been happy 🐓 giving lots of beautiful eggs! 🥚
We are also trying to hatch teeny tiny quail eggs in an incubator, which has been an great science lesson! 🐣

We are hoping to have bountiful garden again this year, allowing us to sell some fresh veggies🥕🥒🍅 to our community!!

We hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine! 🇺🇲
