The boys got their summer haircuts and are so much cooler now. Thanks to our friends at Shear Joy Farm, Shearing & Fiber Mill! They do such an amazing job while doing their very best to minimize the stress on the animals. The alpacas are much cooler and happier now!

You don’t want to miss some alpaca hugs this Saturday! We’ll also have some great alpaca products for sale in our shop! It’s supposed to be great weather so come out and hug on our fluffy alpacas and try some of DeepRoots great beverages along with some awesome music by the incredible Michelle Kay Michelle Kay Music.

You can’t help but have fun when you combine the awesome DeepRoots Vineyards and incredible Jenn Harris music and Starry Dreams Ranch alpacas. Add to that great wine and craft beer, along with some really good food and you have an amazing experience you won’t find anywhere else! We’ll be back at DeepRoots Vineyards next month! Our current foster dog, Ollie, is such a beautiful boy. And he gets along so well with all our other dogs.

Sadly, after a hard fought battle, we lost our little Astro to health issues. It’s part of farm life, but never easy. He was the most gentle boy in the herd and so sweet. He will truly be missed!

Here are some more before and after pictures from our alpaca shearing. The alpacas are sheared annually, before the heat of summer. They are so much more comfortable now and are enjoying more time out in the pasture. They have moved into a new greener pasture for the summer and are loving that. Thanks to our friends at Shear Joy Farm & Shearing for an awesome shearing experience again this year!
